Wolf Hunting North of Chapleau

Wolf

A lot of patience and stamina is involved in hunting wolves as they are notoriously shy and difficult to kill. To really enjoy wolf hunting you need to enjoy the hunt as much as the kill. Here at Linamac Lodge our methods have been proven to work time and time again to ensure your success. Wolf pelts are predominately grey in color but our location has seen black, blonde and reddish colors. Our wolf hunt features a blind in which the hunter sits approximately 200 yards from a bait made up of meat scraps. These bait stations are set up in advance of the hunt in order to ensure activity. We greatly recommend dressing in full camo as the wolf has very keen eyesight and bringing a shooting stick which helps ensure well placed shot along with binoculars. Both a small game license and a wolf/coyote game seal are required for this hunt and maybe purchased online or at retail locations on your way to Chapleau. A CITES permit to export your trophy from Canada will be required and is free of charge. Party hunting for these mammals is not permitted and the MNR will mail a mandatory questionnaire to all people who purchased a game seal. This questionnaire must be submitted even if you did not hunt or were not successful. Our season runs from December 1 through March 31 in the following year. Our six day wolf hunt is available for $1800 +13% sales tax and includes lodging at one of our fully equipped cabins for the full six days.

Gun permit, license fees, export tag etc
