Archery & Rifle Moose Hunting

Canadian moose are one of the most prized North American trophy animals. A moose hunt in Northeastern Ontario will have your adrenaline pumping! Standing at 8 feet tall supporting a rack 5 feet wide and weighing upwards of 1500 pounds moose are still able to slip quietly through the forest without a sound. Linamac Lodge's location is ideal for Moose hunting with hundreds of kilometers of game trails, old logging roads and new clear cuts along with old growth forests rivers and swamps which make for the perfect habitat for the moose to thrive.

Moose Facts:

• A five day old calf moose cannot outrun a human
• Can dive 15 feet and stay under for over 30 seconds
• Moose racks are the fastest growing bone in the world
• Moose learn to swim within a couple days of age
• Moose eyes are independent of each other
• Moose are the largest member of the deer family
• Moose can kick in any direction with their front hooves
• They can be seen along many of our highways, especially at Dawn and dusk so please keep an eye out
