As in all game hunting, technique and approach is the key to success. We have a refined our bear baiting methods to adapt to the ever-changing environment and in doing so we have increased our success rates. Our focus has always been to harvest the largest male bears actively available at the time of your hunt. With use of game cameras at each bait and the daily checking of every bait and camera, we are able to increase the efficiency of your time out in the woods. This has allowed us to obtain an opportunity for success well above 90%. Being an avid archery hunter myself, our bait stations accommodate whatever weapon you choose!

Many outfitters have a do it yourself approach after the first day, here at Linamac Lodge we take pride and enjoy checking our baits daily. This enable us to make decisions based on where your best chance will be for success. With multiple ways of accessing our baits whether it be in the side-by-side, by boat or pick up, we will work as a team to get you set and picked up during your hunt.

We provide each hunter with a source of communication while out in the woods whether it be an inreach or satellite phone. In the event, you harvest your bar early these devices allow us to retrieve your bear soon after your kill. No matter what, we always help you with the retrieval of your bear.

After your kill, we will help you skin and process your bear for travel. Please be prepared to roll up your sleeves and dont forget your knives and ziplocs. We have plenty of freezer space available during your stay.

All of these services referenced above plus accommodations, boat, motor and gas for any fishing that you may like to do while here are included in our Bear Hunt Package competitively priced at $1800 US plus 13% sales tax.

A nonrefundable deposit of $600 is required before your arrival for a six day Black Bear Hunt. Please remember to bring an old hunting license with you as it is required by the Ontario MNR if you don't already have your Ontario Outdoors card for hunting. The Ontario bear license tag is approximately $241 and Outdoors card $9 the firearm importation fee is $25 and a $35 export permit is required upon completion of a successful hunt to transport your game from Canada These licenses and fees are required and are not included in the above quoted rate. These licenses and permits may be purchased at www.huntfishontario.com or at local retailers as you travel up to Chapleau.
